چکیده

This paper presents the resirlts of the “Virtual Classroom ’’ project sponsored bJ1 the University of Westminster, Educational Initiative Centre (EIC) for delivering lectures on-line. The ultimate aim was to provide a portable hardware arid easy to use software toolset as well as easy to follow guidelines oti how to propel the lectures from the conventional dull chalk rind talk environment to the realm of all interactive computer assisted web based electronic classroom. The additiorial goal W N S to nziriiniise the number of stuff reqiiired to give the lectures and allow them to use their valuable tirne,for other academic duties. The proposed hardware/software setup is N f i r l l j automatic solution controllable from a single PC. It allowed j i l l student interactioti arid use of niirltiniecliri in the lectirre. Although the best quality LVUS achieved by use of mirlticasting. the students connecting via iiiodeni can also take interactive part in the lectures.
